MEELIS KALDA – ESTONIAN CHAMPION IN FRONT OF CELEBRITIES

The sixth Estonian Dice Football championship, which was held on Thursday, gold is Meelis Kalda, who in the finals defeated Margo Noode by 2:0. Men were faced also in the group, where the winning numbers for Kalda were 2:1.

Those two from group B left behind a number of celebrities: Joel Lindpere, who won the 2004 Sporditäht nationwide tournament, Meelis Kalda defeated Infonet Tallinn player Trevor Elhi in the quarter-finals. Both left behind three Estonian champions: Rootsi Kunn, Aivar Pohlak and the last years’ champion Patrik Saksus and this years’ best player in the Estonian Premier league Rimo Hunt, who stopped in the group.

This years’s most active female referee Anni Koppel got to quarter-finals. Her colleague Anni Rahula got as far. Tomi Rahula did not get through the group. The doctor of Estonian national team Kaspar Rõivassepp won the group H, but was defeated in the 1/8 finals by Rootsi Kunn in the extratime by 2:3.

The prizes for the winners were presented by A. Le Coq, who has been the supporter of all the last Estonian championships.
