VII Estonian champion - Indrek Nuume

Board member of LHV Bank Indrek Nuume won the 25th November Estonian VII dicefootball Championship, after defeating Katri Lillemäe 5:4 in extra time.

Indrek Nuume concluded his success was down to ‘Beginner’s luck: “I have to thank the reminder that the championship is held today, because although I had promised to take part, I forgot to mark it in my calendar. It was a time well spent.”

Indrek Nuume got through his qualifiers with 2nd place and was 2:1 better than the winner of the qualifiers Herol Riiberg. In the 1/16 finals Nuume defeated the patron of dicefootball Mart Poom on penalties 5:4 (after extra time ended 1:1). Nuume then proceeded with a match against LHV Bank chairman of the board Erki Kilu and won 4:1. In semifinals Nuume defeated Marko Mäekivi 5:4.

Erki Kilu had his winnings too – in the 1/16 finals he defeated Krista Meri, the triple world Coctail Champion. Krista won her qualifiers with a big success: three wins and one draw.

Former top player Mart Poom and current players did rather well: in addition to Mart Poom, Mikk Reintam and Herol Riiberg won their qualifiers. Reintam lost in the 1/16 finals to the finalist Lillemägi 3:6 and Riiberg lost to Sell 3:4 in the Semis after extra time. Rauno Sappinen took 3rd place in qualifiers, but didn’t get through.

Championship bronze went to Marko Mäekivi with 2:0 win against Kadri-Leen Sell.
